Assistance with your Civil
ceremony
DJSPACEBAR are proud to
offer music, advice and assistance to help plan your
civil ceremony part of your day.
Before you can start having a celebratory knees-up,
popping Champagne corks and excitedly declaring
yourself husband and wife, you will need to make
sure you have ticked all the legal boxes by
organizing and attending a wedding ceremony of some
sort.
Thus, when planning your event, the wedding couple
not only need to ensure that their chosen venue is
available for the date of their choice – and
licensed to hold the ceremony there - but that,
additionally, the associated Registrar is also
available on that date.
After that, on your To Do List, will be the choosing
of appropriate words to say to each other, perhaps
selecting civil ceremony poems and readings - plus
non-religious music for the time when the bride
walks in and another piece for after the ceremony
too. No hymns are allowed and the music must be
secular at these civil wedding ceremonies.
DJSPACEBAR have worked
with numerous couples to help with their civil
ceremony and planning so that their guests see it
run on time, smooth and professionally.
Planning:
Here is our guide on
the music on music played during the ceremony
Music for Your ceremony
All DJSPACEBAR customers will get a
copy of these tunes for listening and planning. The
music above is a taste of classical music that will
often get played during these ceremony. It sets the
appropriate tone and mood. DJSPACEBAR will
work with the registrar and you to ensure the 4
major parts involving music are covered.
Of course that is not to say that we
can play music that is classical, we can work with
you play the music you require (no hymms or
religious songs).
We will work alongside your registrar,
videographer and photographer to ensure that all
your services work well together and ensure. We also
provide videography and photography services too.
Equipment and Space:
Our equipment is the small and elegant
BOSE wedding system. This would take up
minimal space in one corner of the room as
well as being discreet and powerful enough for your
entrance and exit.
As you can see from this image, this is a fairly large
room and the speaker system does not make it
obvious. Our custom sized systems are ideal for any
sized room.
Tips:
The vows spoken during a civil ceremony are fairly
brief, but couples can add their own non-religious
readings and music to personalise the service. The
bride and groom declare there is no lawful
impediment to their marriage and sign the register
before two witnesses. Couples can wear whatever they
like.
Notice of the marriage must be given at your local
register office (or offices if you live in different
areas) at least 15 days before the wedding.
